Kasturba Gandhi College for Women was started in the year 1973 by the Osm Graduates' Association and financed by the Exhibition Society. Initially the college had a stre of 175 students under the leadership of Dr. Sridevi, a pioneer in the field of education

At present the strength of the teaching staff is 30, Non-teaching staff is 12, with a co strength of 1100. Computer education has been made compulsory for Inter students.Junior college students have excelled both in the academic and sports fields. We several State level rank holders in the academic field and in the sports field produced national champions.
