Kamala Nehru Polytechnic for Women Kamala Nehru Polytechnic for Women, Hyderabad, Sponsored by the Exhibition Society, is the first Women's Polytechnic in the country, started in the year 1961.

In order to impart Technical Education to women, free education was offered to all the eligible women students.
