The Exhibition Society was formally registered in 1938 with the following objectives:

That all efforts will be made to promote social, economic and industrial environment in the state in particular and in the country in general. |

That the exhibition will be used as a medium to educate people and to project an image of self-reliance and self help. |
| 3. |
That the membership will be limited and members will not be paid any remuneration for the work rendered and that all the profits and savings will be utilized for development purposes. |

The society records outstanding lifetime contribution of the members by installing their portraits in the gallery of "Dedicated Souls".
The Members
The Members of the Society are from various walks of life but are united by their common resolve to work on a voluntary basis for the underprivileged, particularly in the areas of vocational training and higher education for women. |
